Want to know a bit more about behind the scenes of Pippas Web
I’m Pippa Haines I’m the owner of Pippas Web.
Name: Pippa Haines
Age: Not saying
Children: Two (a girl and a boy)
Location: Ledbury, Herefordshire.
(but as we’ve moved home, I have also run Pippas Web from Newent, Stafford and Worcester.)
Pets: One cat called Spike (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
Work History: I’ve trained and worked as a children’s nurse in and around London before leaving nursing to work in more computer based roles i.e. admin and utilities’ analyst with more social hours.
I taught myself HTML coding via an online course just for fun and, I started designing sites for friends and family.
I liked the ability to add a random bit of code and seeing the colour of text change, or the font. I even enjoyed debugging my problems when things went wrong.
Talking to others I found that they liked surfing the web but couldn’t see themselves ever creating one. So I decided I could fill that role
While on maternity leave the company I was working relocated the office a good 40min away.
I wanted to do something that would allow me to spend time with my children while doing something to help others.
So, I launched Pippas Web at the end of 2009, offering my web design and developing SEO skills to small businesses, sole traders, therapists, or for those just starting up in business.
I have worked on a variety of platforms over the years, including Moonfruit.com, Wix.com, HTML files, WordPress and others. Over the years I have continued to develop my web skills to include SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and social media, to aid my own business and in turn to help my clients.
Working as Pippas Web, I pride myself on creating a range of sites that their owners love and that do the job that they are created to do. I am so pleased that so many of my clients were introduced to me as recommendations, from existing clients – So I guess, I must be doing something right.
I know that Pippas Web should have an apostrophe, but as there isn’t one in the web address, I decided to leave it off the brand name too.
