Hosting is the technical term for the computer (server) where your site's pages are held and accessed. When choosing a host you need to pick depending on the services they offer: for example, if you want to run an online shop, your host server needs to support e-commerce.
If you choose to have your website designed using html then you can either pick your own hosting service or use the one I use, streamline, but depending on what you want on your site, a different host may be more appropriate.
The hosts
that I use for both my html and Flash sites offer a variety of hosting
packages, with a range of prices to suit all pockets.
Once your site's needs have been discussed, then I will be able to give you a better idea of your options regarding hosting. To give you a guide, I've listed the price ranges for both options, to the right, as this will be an additional cost to your website design.
A domain name is the web address you enter to access a site: for example. www.pippasweb.co.uk. If you don't yet have your own domain name, please don't feel there is any rush, as this is usually bundled in with the hosting.
| No. of Pages | HTML | Flash |

| Three Pages | £110 | £80 |
| Five Pages | £180 | £130 |
| Additional Pages | £35 | £30 |

If you haven't got one already, you'll need a domain name, the cost of which might range from free to approx £10 per year.
As a guide, hosting for a HTML site through streamline
varies depending on the package, from £24.99 - £50.99 for 1 year including the domain name. I can load your site to another hosting companys if you prefer.
Flash hosting again varies from free up to £130.99 for 1 year, depending on the package.

adding photos etc. the cost is £20 per hour charged (min charge 15mins £5).
Also available, a monthly/bi-monthly or quarterly report using google analytical data,
of page viewers, customers numbers, how they found your site and as much info as you require for £5 per report.
